Updated: Sep 27, 2020

The Coronavirus Pandemic has severely impacted children and families throughout the world. School closures, loss of jobs, and income have created significant hardships in several communities. The Guyana United Youth Development Association (GUYDA), in its commitment to provide opportunities for the social and educational advancement of the youth of Guyana, is responding to the needs of families during this Coronavirus Pandemic. GUYDA is collaborating with God’s Battalion of Prayer Center in Charity, Guyana to provide food hampers to families in need who are raising children in Charity in the County of Essequibo, and Jacklow in the Pomeroon River, Guyana. At the end of the program, it is expected that GUYDA would provide food relief to 100 families in Charity and 100 families in Jacklow in the Pomeroon. The first distribution took place during the first week of September 2020.

God’s Battalion of Prayer Center expresses sincere gratitude to GUYDA for providing relief to hundreds of families during this Covid-19 Pandemic. This could not have been possible without the support of the patrons of GUYDA.
